My New Kingfisher Collection at Trekpleister
A new collection featuring my personal favourite bird, the kingfisher, is coming to Trekpleister!
In week 38, a whole range of products featuring my kingfisher designs will be available as part of Trekpleister's weekly promotion. I’m especially happy with this collection, and if you’ve read my recent blog about the kingfishers in Rijswijk, you’ll probably understand why this little blue bird has become so special to me.
The collection combines my watercolour kingfishers with cherry blossoms, water droplets and soft ripples in the water. Below you can see all the products in the collection.
Kingfisher duvet cover set
Available in single (140 × 220 cm) and double (240 × 220 cm) sizes. The design features one large watercolour kingfisher and comes with a 60 × 70 cm pillowcase. Made from 100% polyester.
Kingfisher ironing board cover
A 49 × 135 cm ironing board cover made from 100% cotton, decorated with a repeating pattern of small kingfishers, cherry blossoms and water details.
Kingfisher tea towels
A set of two 60 × 60 cm tea towels, made from 100% cotton and wrapped together with a bow. They feature the same small kingfisher pattern as the ironing board cover.
Kingfisher big shoppers
Two different large shoppers are available. The pink version features the repeating pattern of small kingfishers and has pink handles, while the blue version features one large kingfisher. Made from 80% recycled material from plastic bottles and 20% polyester.
Set of two small kingfisher mugs
Two small ceramic mugs packaged together as a set, each with a different kingfisher design. Each mug holds 150 ml and is dishwasher and microwave safe.
XL kingfisher mugs
Two different XL ceramic mugs, each featuring a large watercolour kingfisher. The mugs hold 560 ml and are dishwasher and microwave safe.
Kingfisher tea bag dishes
A set of two ceramic tea bag dishes, each with a different kingfisher design. Their little teapot shape makes them a lovely match for the kingfisher mugs.
Watercolour painting sets
There are three different watercolour painting sets: two kingfisher designs and one cherry blossom design. Each set contains a pre-printed water-resistant painting board with the outlines of the design, 10 watercolour paints, two brushes and instructions.
I’ve also painted one of the kingfisher boards myself and recorded the process. A separate blog post with the video, background information and my tips for painting the set will follow soon.
Can’t wait until week 38?
The watercolour painting sets are the only products from my new kingfisher collection that are already available at Trekpleister, a Dutch retail chain, for €4.99 per set.
In week 39, the painting sets will also be available as a special offer at Kruidvat, another large Dutch retail chain.
