Prices are for one cat per portrait; for multiple pets, please contact me for a quote.

A perfect way to honor your beloved cat or give a thoughtful gift to a fellow cat lover.

The average turnaround time for a custom painting is approximately 2 weeks.

If you have a specific deadline in mind, please feel free to contact me in advance to ensure that your timeline can be met.

Before I begin your painting, I’ll personally get in touch to discuss your wishes and make sure we’re aligned on the direction of the piece. Once we’ve agreed on the reference photo and the delivery date, I’ll keep you updated throughout the process. That way, we can still make small adjustments along the way and ensure you’re happy with the final result!

After placing your order, please send a few photos of your pet to info@michelledujardin.nl.
I recommend sending 3 to 5 clear photos taken from different angles, so I can get a good sense of your pet's features and personality.

Please pay special attention to the photo quality. The best results come from photos taken in natural daylight, showing the true colors of the fur and eyes.

into a Painting

My paintings focus primarily on the subject and usually feature a white, calm background.
In the example shown here, where my dog Bodhi is running through the water, you can see how I used loose brushstrokes to suggest the splashing effect. Other areas, such as Bodhi’s head, are painted with more detail – to bring out his character and expression.

My painting style is based on Zen drawing – spontaneous, mindful, and guided by intuition.

For pet portraits I paint a bit more realistically, so they feel true to the animal. Still, I let water and color flow freely, allowing each painting to become something unique and full of life.
