Turn Your Photo into a Painting
My paintings focus primarily on the subject and usually feature a white, calm background.
In the example shown here, where my dog Bodhi is running through the water, you can see how I used loose brushstrokes to suggest the splashing effect. Other areas, such as Bodhi’s head, are painted with more detail – to bring out his character and expression.

Behind the Brush
My painting style is based on Zen drawing – spontaneous, mindful, and guided by intuition.
For pet portraits I paint a bit more realistically, so they feel true to the animal. Still, I let water and color flow freely, allowing each painting to become something unique and full of life.
